About Us
Welcome to the West Sussex Practice Managers Association.
We have representation from each locality; please click here to find your locality representative. We have grown from strength to strength in supporting our Practice Manager colleagues across West Sussex, and I was also one of the founding Directors of the Institute of General Practice Management (IGPM). This national profession is the first of its kind and the idea came from us - WSPMA. Please ensure that you become a member of the our national organisation, the ‘Institute of General Practice Management’, so your voice can be represented where policies are written.
With the immense pressures on primary care to meet the demand of an ageing population, we will need to become even more skilled at change management, commissioning and service redesign. We also need to ensure we achieve real patient and public involvement as we become involved in making difficult decisions within a financially challenged NHS. We want to be your voice, to represent your views and opinions, to be able to input into local and national policies as they are created, not when they have already been implemented.
All communications are sent out via the locality representatives and they will automatically include all Practice Managers. Please feel free to cascade further to your management teams.
We are very grateful to NHS Sussex ICB for their ongoing support.
This is your association and your website; please help us to support you by letting us know what training courses or resources would help you. We also offer coaching and mentoring for new or existing Practice Managers.
