Julia Storr

I’m Julia and I’ve worked for the NHS for twenty-seven years, becoming a Practice Manager thirteen years ago after completing the Diploma in Primary Care Management.

I was originally managing a practice in East Sussex and I’ve been the Practice Manager at Newtons Practice in Haywards Heath for the past five years. I’m also an accredited member of the Institute of General Practice Management group.

I enjoy my job and strive to provide the best possible care for our patients and a supportive working environment for our staff. Practice Management can be challenging but very rewarding. I became the WSPMA Mid Sussex rep from April 2024. Being part of the WSPMA helps me with my day to day role and I’m keen in turn to help and support other Practice Managers.

When I’m not at work you’ll find me at the stables as my greatest passion in life is anything horsey. I regularly volunteer to judge at horse trials and looking after my horse helps me to keep sane(ish) and cope with the stresses and demands of the day job.
